A father of six children was injured in one of his eyes, rendering him nearly blind at Nkawkaw in the Eastern region.
This tragic incident occurred during a fight between the victim, Mohammed, and another man, David.
David wanted to buy dog meat, so he went to Mohammed to do so. Mohammed didn’t have any at the time, so he borrowed GH 70 from David to get the meat from a colleague.
Mohammed recalled that the meat was now sold for GH 100, so he no longer purchased it. Mohammed, on the other hand, did not return the money to David for several days. David went to Mohammed’s house in rage and took his bicycle.
Mohammed then went to David’s house to get his bicycle, which sparked a fight between the two men.
When David punched Mohammed in the eye, the pupil went blank. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment and is still unable to see with the affected eye.
