Black Stars first training session ahead of AFCON Qualifiers

The Black Stars of Ghana held their first training session today. Almost the full list called up are in camp. The likes of the ever present Ayew brothers( Captain Andre and Jordan), Mubarak Wakaso, Baba Rahman all took part.


New boy Semenyo had a first taste of National team training as he was also present. He had quite a fine season in the just ended Championship campaign and simply could not be overlooked. He finished the season scoring 8 goals and providing 12 assists for Bristol City.

Others who were in attendance includes Sporting Lisbon’s young winger, Issahaku Fatawu, Stade Rennes dribbler Sulemana Kamaldeen, and Bordeaux left back Gideon Mensah.


Baba Iddrissu, Afena Gyan, Benjamin Tetteh, Mohammed Kudus all took part in today’s session. Goalkeeper Joojo Wollacott who did a decent job in the two legged World Cup qualifier games against Nigeria also participated.


The team is preparing to host Madagascar before traveling to face the Central African Republic.
