The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osuman Nuhu Sharubutu has advised Ghanaians more especially Politicians, Political Parties and the youth to avoid tendencies that have the potential of jeopardizing the peaceful atmosphere in Ghana as Ghanaians vote the year.
Sheikh Osuman Nuhu Sharubutu on virtual show aired live on national television and via the Sharubutu TV, on Sunday 24th May, 2020 was clear on the various Political Parties, the Electoral Commission and other stakeholders to work hard towards free, fair and peaceful elections.
EID FESTIVITY AMIDST COVID-19
Meanwhile, the 2nd deputy Imam of Kwesimintsim who is also a member of the Western Regional Peace Council, Sheikh Mohammed Amin Abdul Rahman on behave of the Western Regional Chief Imam stated that, the virtual show is an alternative platform for the annual flamboyant Eid festivity celebrations that cannot happen due to the President’s Covid-19 directives.
This is to enable people especially the Zongos to stay home in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by bringing to their doorsteps an experience that ordinarily they would have come out of their homes during the Eid festivities to witness.
He also chided the Muslim youth to desist from activities the erupt violence before, during and after 2020 polls.
