Asmawu said that, the suspects wanted to kidnap her but she screamed aloud that made neighbors around started approaching, so the guys just took her Samsung phone and drove off. The suspects were driving in a Vitz Taxi with registration number CR 714-13.

The rescued neighbors traced the vehicle till the suspected abductors flew away to the bushes of Nzema Hall of Takoradi Technical University leaving the car behind.  She again said that, what triggered the unsuccessful kidnap was the inadequate street lights on the road.
