Kelvin Taylor Descends On Vice President

US-based Ghanaian journalist, Mr. Kevin Taylor, has descended heavily on the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Speaking on the controversial e-levy, Mr. Kevin Taylor advised Dr. Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government, to make sure they account to Ghanaians, on how they used the tax payers money, within their five years in power.

According to him, before Ghanaians start discussing the electronic levy, Dr. Bawumia must make sure he tell Ghanaians how much President Nana Addo has been spending on this foreign trips, and on the privates jets.

Speaking on Loud Silence TV, Mr. Taylor again said, that before Ghanaians will agree to pay new taxes, Vice President Bawumia, and the NPP must account for all loans taken within the NPP’s five year in power, and how those loans were spent.

Mr. Taylor again stated, that “before crossing the bridge to e-levy, there must be accountability…no accountability, no e-levy”.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the 7th Vice President in the 4th Republic of Ghana. He assumed office on January 7, 2017. In the past (before the introduction of the e-levy), Dr. Bawumia has stated that, he doesn’t believe mobile mobile money in Ghana should be tax, because many of the people using the service are poor people.

Since the introduction of the levy in the year 2022 budget, many Ghanaians have been waiting to hear Dr. Bawumia speak on the topic; but till today, the vice president has remain silence on the e-levy.
