The Western Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Nana Kojo Toku has described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government’s Management of the economy as not just a failure but highly impotent.

He said this on the maiden edition of Sharp 106.9FM authoritative Morning Show program dubbed ‘Sharp Anopa Nsroma’ with Alan Cash.

According to him, close to four years of being voted into power, the Akuffo Addo led government has failed to deliver on his numerous promises made, which has brought hardship to Ghanaians. “The NPP Government is running on deceit and must be voted out this electioneering year”.

Nana Toku was quick to add that, governance is not just mere talk but rather actions and urged His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo and his Vice Dr. Bawumia to stop the talking and deliver on their transformational pledged.

He further called on all, more especially the NDC to help the NPP combat the deadly Corona Virus by observing the directives and protocols by government.

“The Electoral Commission should also observe all the protocols and also listen to the plight of Ghanaians with regards to the compilation of a new voter register”.

Meanwhile, the Western Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Ndede Siah argued that the Electoral Commission would have hankered conducted the compilation of a new register despite the protest by the opposition National Democratic Congress but for COVID-19 pandemic, which has compounded the woes of the electoral management body but trusted they (EC) will overcome this challenge.

He dare the NDC to withdraw from the exercise if they feel threatened by the EC’s decision to conduct the exercise amidst the crisis.

He maintained that it will be practically unwise and disastrous for our electoral process should they fail to conduct the general elections on the constituted date, December 7.

“We should not politicize the COVID-19 pandemic, it does not ague well for socio economic development of the country”, he said.

Mr. Ndede Siah finally indicated that, the NPP is ready to retain power come December 7 and do not need Electoral Commission (EC) and National Identification Authority (NIA) to rig 2020 elections for them.
