In an interview on sharp 106.9FM, on community concern segment of Anopa Nkomo, Mr. Joseph Kingsley Eshun, lamented on the fuel price increment, he said the rate people boards commercial cars have reduced drastically due to the fuel price increment. Both private and commercial drivers are suffering from fuel price increment.

 upon further interrogation about the fuel price increment by the host, Nana Banyin Paintsil, he said most of the driver wives come to the station with their children to asked for their housekeeping money from their husbands. As a result of regular increment of fuel prices, most of the drivers hide from their wives which is very embarrassing.

Government officials do not buy fuel so they don’t feel the suffering of the drivers, He asked again whether Ghanaian as a country has been giving to the drivers to do work and pay.

From January to date, fuel has been increased 46 times.

One caller said, at least there should be a period where public would be aware of fuel price increasing.

Most of the private drivers and commercial drivers packed their cars home due to fuel price increment.
