On 2nd November, 2021, NADMO director Mr. James Obeng Junior had an interview with sharp FM on our community concern segment and he disclosed to our listeners that this year, the metropolis had experienced less disaster occurrence as compared to the previous years.
He said, the Assembly had distilled all the major gutters that need to be distilled and that has resulted good impact in the metropolis. He mentioned four houses that got flooded at Airport ridge the last time it rained. He also added that, the regional minister Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko has promised to solve this problem including those at Adiambra.
Mr. James schooled our listeners that, the Nadmo department works in hand with other department or institutions within the metro and people should not limit their work only to water disaster occurrences.
He advises the public to change their attitude of dumping refuse anyhow, building water ways, undocumented half plot issues and follow the corrects procedure of doing thing in order to avoid any disturbances in the future.
One caller, allege that some of the relief items such as student mattress, one bag of rice, used shirts among other items are being sold to the victims, Mr. Obeng responded by saying that it never true because the top official do go to the ground to do their own checks on the items shared to the victims.
